Sept. 12, 2012 – (Gainesville, Fla.) Thornebrook Gallery has been dedicated to the success of the arts in North Central Florida for 31 years. The Gallery is launching a smartphone app as part of its 31st anniversary celebration this fall to carry that tradition into the digital age with a resource unlike any other in the state of Florida or the Southeast.
“We’re very excited to bring something new and modern to this arts community,” said David Arrighi, owner of Thornebrook Gallery. “Art is a visual experience and so are smartphones and tablets. It’s a natural fit to bring the two together and we’re going to be able to give area artists and the public an amazing new meeting place in this app.”
The Gallery Art of Life application will feature local, regional and national artists with a presence in North Central Florida, and all the galleries, museums and festivals that put their art on display. Being all about the “Art of Life,” the app will also include tips on all things artful, including gourmet food, fine wine and luxury travel.
“This app is a gallery of the art of good living,” said Arrighi. “All of the beautiful, special things in our community that make life richer and that we love to enjoy with friends and family have a place in this app.”
After 31 years Thornebrook Gallery has mastered finding and sharing the fine art, fine craft and artisan jewelry that suits the tastes of the community. The app will be launched to continue this tradition and available for Apple and Android smartphones and tablets in October.
